White Cube

So we went to the White Cube Gallery to check out an art installation before the exhibition ended the next day on the 15th of November and every room had its own unique art which was simple but so aesthetically nice and cool.

The first room we went in was called 'Untitled (Acrylic Column)' by Robert Irwin and I (Selina) must say it was one of my favourite rooms of art. It was simple with 2 clear long acrylic beams  and it had it's unique reflects. The ceiling had its aesthetics with the grid prints which was simply beautiful.

The second room was in the south gallery which presented 4 different works by Cerith Wyn Evans: The Illuminating Gas, Neon Forms, The Composition of 19 flutes & Still life.

The Illuminating gas had arrangements of different circular layers, some with spikes and some simple. The 3 types of 'Neon Forms' were what we initially came to see as it was eye catching with a series of complex lines which the artist sought out to represent anxiety.

The artist described 'The Composition of 19 flutes' to be ''a large sound sculpture consisting of 19 'breathing' transparent glass flutes'' which echoed and emitted a ''mellifluous breath-like sound''.
